The course is a mandatory addition to the “Praxissemester” and is thus only open to students completing their “Praxissemester” this term. 

We will have a closer look at Classroom Discourse. In this respect students will find out how to improve not only classroom organization but also reflect on the impact their “language”, verbal and non-verbal, can have on students. 

The overall aim is to gain a deeper understanding of how to use discourse to manage not only methodology and content but also interaction and intervention in a functional way. 

Simulation and video analysis will be vital parts of the course. 


Participants will be asked to hand in a short paper in which they present concrete ideas to shape classroom discourse on the basis of respective literature.
