Die Vorlesung "Grundlagen des Magnetismus" vermittelt ein Grundwissen über magnetische Phänomene, Materialien und Anwendungen:
- Spin, magnetisches Moment, Diamagnetismus, Paramagnetismus;
- Magnetische Ordnung im festen Zustand, magnetische Anisotropie;
- Magnetische Strukturen, Magnetisierungsdynamik, magnetische Anregung, magnetische Kopplungsphänomene;
- Spintronik, Magnonics, moderne Anwendungen;
- Einführung in den Nanomagnetismus: Nanopartikel, ultradünne Filme und magnetische Moleküle.

- Introduction to nanomagnetism: Nanoparticles, ultrathin films and magnetic molecules.
