This course is about our latest understanding of the physical and chemical processes at the solid/liquid interfaces. If you are interested in the following problems, please come to this course.
- (i) How are solid-liquid processes related to humanity's current energy and environmental problems?
- (ii) What happens at the molecular level when liquid molecules meet a solid surface? The space, the energies and the time scales
- (iii) How do electrons move across the solid/liquid interface? Is it possible to investigate this directly with experimental tools? How?
- (iv) How can we store solar energy more efficiently?
