The seminar will focus on literary and cultural key texts from the various epochs of English literature from the middle ages to the present day. The seminar thus complements the lecture in the same module and provides a helpful frame of reference for all following seminars in literary or cultural studies.
As this will be another online semester all texts will be made available on here. It will be a smaller selection and fewer examples than we would have in a "normal" semester but this way we can make sure that you have enough time to work through the material.
There will be small (oftentimes fun) assignments about every two weeks which I'll ask you to collect and hand in as a sort of portfolio at the end of term. These tasks are mandatory for all courses of study, no matter if you're finishing this seminar as a "Prüfungsvorleistung" or with an additional "Modulprüfung".
